How we pick the main event
The Drama Index is an editorial score out of 100, not a win probability. Each scheduled game receives up to 40 points for proximity to the playoff cutoff, 25 for similar records, 20 for a close scoring outlook, and 15 for previous meetings this season (extra credit for a margin of 10 points or less). Highest score gets the spotlight; ties go to the lower roster ID.
Scoring estimates use each team’s last three completed weekly scores before the selected week, or all available weeks if fewer than three. They do not adjust for injuries, byes, or lineup changes. Official Sleeper projections are unavailable through the public league API.
Records are rebuilt from completed games before the selected week, including median match results if enabled. Standings sort by win percentage, then points scored; division rules and custom playoff tiebreakers may differ from Sleeper. Cutoff gaps describe the current race, not clinch or elimination odds. Opponent history covers this league’s current season only.
Playoff-week reports compare regular-season records and recent scoring; bracket advancement and consolation stakes are not inferred.
